Sweden's Hexagon acquires Infor EAM for $2.75 Billion
Swedish industrial technology group Hexagon AB announced an agreement to acquire Infor’s global EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) business for approximately $2.75 Billion.
It is also a sign of making a good relationship between Hexagon and Koch Industries by expanded use of EAM in Koch businesses and cross-selling opportunities between customers. On April 6, 2020 Koch Industries acquired the remaining portion of Infor from Golden Gate Capital.
As per the CEO of Hexagon, Ola Rollen, Infor EAM is one of the best EAM solutions in the market and EAM is considered by thousands of customers as one of the industry's most enthralling solutions.
Shares of Hexagon were up by just over 2% at 0817 GMT.
The sale covers $800 million in cash and $132 million in the form of shares paid to Koch. The deal would leave Koch owning a stake of almost 5% in Hexagon.
The revenue can be expected from Infors EAM’s for 2021 is $184 million and in the last three years the business had been growing at a compound rate of 35%. Hexagon is expected the acquisition would generate $100 million worth additional sales by 2026.
Rollen also added "Adding an enterprise asset management system to our portfolio puts us in a unique position to drive further digital transformation across our customer base."
